On May 25, 2022, in Sadoval County, New Mexico, police arrested Robert Jesse Strand. The arrest came after a tip from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited children regarding images that were on the man’s phone. What made this case even more shocking was that Strand was a detective with the Sandoval County Sherrif’s office.

It was just before midnight on July 18, 1969, when the little island of Chappquiddick - near Martha’s Vineyard - became the scene of international intrigue. At the centre was thirty-seven year old Senator Ted Kennedy, the youngest of the Kennedy siblings and twenty-eight-year old Mary Jo Kopeckne. The event would stall Kennedy’s political aspirations.

S17E11 The assassination of RFK

June 6, 1968, at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles a jubilant Robert Francis Kennedy spoke of winning the Presidential nomination in California. To a throng of media, members of the Democratic party and supporters, he said “My thanks to all of you and now it’s on to Chicago and let’s win there, thank you very much”.

He gave a peace sign and then brushed his hair back off his face. Moments later a shot rang out.
